Are you accepting new patients?

I am not accepting new patients from the community at this time.  I am involved in direct patient care at UCLA's Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center.  I see ONLY registered undergraduate and graduate UCLA students.

What should I bring with me to my first appointment with you?

On the day of your visit please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time in order to provide/update any pertinent health information.  Please bring any current medical records with you as well as a list of your current medications.

Do you take urgent care or same day appointments?

Yes.  I actually set aside some time every day for same day or urgent care visits.  If there is an urgent need to see me the same day, please try to call Ashe or use the web based appointment system at the start of my office hours (8:00 a.m.).

Do you have a cancellation policy?

24 hours notice of a cancellation is appreciated.

How do you communicate with your patients regarding their lab and test results?

All lab and test results are emailed using secure messaging to the UCLA students under my care.  Abnormal results or those of an urgent nature will be phoned directly to you as soon as the results are available. If there are any questions about your test results you may email me through the Ashe website.

What is your medication refill policy?

  • Routine prescription  renewals:  Please contact your pharmacy directly or the Ashe pharmacy (via phone:310. 825.5497 or email) to check and see if you have refills.  If you need a refill of a routine medication you may email me through the Ashe website.

What are your office hours?

8AM to 4PM Monday through Friday.

Do you do hospital work? What are your hospital affiliations?

I participate in outpatient medicine only.

What should I do if I have an after-hours emergency?

In life-threatening situations, such as a heart attack or traumatic injury, dial 9-1-1 for fast paramedic assistance, or go directly to a hospital emergency room.  Always err on the side of caution. It is far better to go to the hospital and turn out to be fine than to not go and find yourself in a life-threatening situation.

What is your patient population like?

A majority of my patients are female and most of my male and female patients are between the ages of 18 to 35. My focus for all my patients is on preventive care. Getting and staying healthy so you can spend your time away from the doctor’s office is what my practice is all about.

What insurance plans do you take?

I see ONLY UCLA undergraduate and graduate students and accept all insurance plans.
